The
25-year-old moved back to the DCBL Stadium from NPL Premier Division side Atherton
Collieries.
He
initially joined Widnes in October 2017 and went on to score 12 goals in 38
appearances to help the club win promotion to the Northern Premier League and
lifted the North West Counties League Cup.
He
departed for then-National League North side FC United of Manchester in the
summer of 2018, making 38 appearances, scoring 7 goals, but it wasn't enough to
prevent the Red Rebels' relegation back to the Northern Premier League.
However,
Banister's performances earned him a move to Curzon Ashton, where he made 13
appearances in the National League North before enjoying a loan spell at
Warrington Town at the start of 2020.
He
re-joined Widnes in February 2020 and then switched to Colls in September. |
