Vastly
experienced goalkeeper Steve Oliver has returned to the club from South West
Peninsula League Premier Division side Ilfracombe Town.
The
veteran 37-year-old re-joined Ilfracombe in February 2020 from Barnstaple Town.
He
had returned to Barum in December 2018 after a spell with Bridgwater Town in
the Toolstation Western League.
He
was Barum`s number one during their first season in the Southern League in
2016/17, before signing for Bideford, where he remained until joining
Bridgwater.
His
other former clubs include Appledore, Torrington, Holsworthy, Ilfracombe and
Witheridge.
Also
joining Bideford is midfielder Liam Short (pictured), who is on dual terms with South West
Peninsula League Premier Division side Ilfracombe Town, who he signed for last
month from rivals Helston Athletic.
Short
started his career in the famed academy at Premier League Southampton before having
his first spell with Helston.
He
moved to Bideford`s league rivals Barnstaple midway through last season where
he made 14 appearances and scored one goal.
He
re-joined Helston in the summer.
Meanwhile,
Bideford have extended the loan of 19-year-old forward Lewis Wilson from League
Two Exeter City until January 2021. |
