Winger
Morgan Homson-Smith (pictured) joined Vanarana National League North club Southport from
the Football Development Agency (FDA) Academy where he spent 15 months playing
for the set-up who aim to give young players who have been released from the
pro game a competitive environment to showcase their ability.
An
ex-Morecambe scholar, he had spells with Kendal Town, AFC Fylde and Harrogate
Town.
His
last club before entering the academy was Prescot Cables.
He
moved to NPL Premier Division outfit FC United of Manchester in August 2020
after spending the latter part of the 2019/20 season on loan with the Reds.
The
Purps have also signed forward Connor McCarthy.
The
22-year-old re-joined league rivals Runcorn Linnets in the summer of 2019 from
Warrington Town.
He
had returned to Cantilever Park for a second spell from the Linnets having
previously played on loan from AFC Telford United in 2016.
He
began his career Prescot Cables before moves to Skelmersdale United, Southport
and FC United of Manchester. |
