Pitching In Southern Football League Premier Division Central club Alvechurch have signed experienced forward James Spray from Midland League Premier Division side AFC Wulfrunians for a second spell at Lye Meadow.

Halesowen-born Spray joined Wolverhampton Wanderers` academy in 2006 and signed a professional contract in 2009.

 

He scored on his senior debut for Wolves in September 2011 in a Carling Cup win against Millwall.

 

He then joined Accrington Stanley on loan in October 2011.

 

He left Wolves in 2012 and signed for AFC Telford United, before joining Stourbridge in February 2013, then Bedworth United in July 2013.

 

He had his first spell with Alvechurch in March 2016 until October 2016 when he signed for Midland Leaguers Lye Town.

 

He joined his hometown club Halesowen Town in June 2017 before re-joining Lye in October 2017.

 

Spray signed for AFC Wulfrunians at the end of the year and has played 10 times for the Wulfs this season, scoring 3 goals.
