The
club received a number of excellent and strong candidates for the position, but
once Hale had been interviewed, the club`s committee were very impressed with
his enthusiasm and his attention to detail, not forgetting that he possesses an
excellent footballing CV.
Hale,
a former paratrooper in the Royal Artillery, represented the full Army and
Combined Services football teams.
His
civilian career saw him play on the wing for Havant & Waterlooville, Fleet
Town, Salisbury City, Welling and Bashley in an illustrious period.
Hale`s
coaching career has seen him primarily involved at under-18 and under-23 level,
with a number of his young cohorts progressing into senior football. This facet
of his ability is something that really excited the club committee.
Hale`s
first act as manager was to appoint Danny Proctor as his assistant manager,
with Chris Hicks remaining on his staff in a coaching capacity. |
