McIntosh
was appointed in March 2020 and brought a wealth of playing and coaching
experience to the Gingerbreads.
In
a career that began in 1988 and spanned 22 years, McIntosh made just under 500
appearances in the Scottish League, the Scottish Premier League and the Football
League, getting on the scoresheet 50 times.
The
defender also earned international honours with 2 appearances and a goal for
Scotland B in 1998.
In
2010, McIntosh stepped into management with Worksop Town after a short spell as
first team coach at Rotherham United.
He
then led Buxton to a series of top ten finishes in the Northern Premier League
in a six-year spell at the Silverlands and has also has spells in charge at
Ilkeston Town and Frickley Athletic
McIntosh
leaves Grantham following a home midweek defeat in the Buildbase FA Trophy against
Southern League Premier Division Central side St Ives Town. |
