Tigers Borrow Terriers Midfielder

Pitching In Northern Premier League Premier Division club Hyde United have signed Josh Austerfield on loan from SkyBet Championship side Huddersfield Town.

The attacking midfielder has progressed through the Terriers academy into the B and first team squads.

The youngster signed for Huddersfield at under-8 level from junior club Drighlington.

Born in Morley (Leeds), he was one of a handful of academy players who travelled with the first team squad to a training camp in Dubai in November 2019, after which he made two appearances in the senior squad.

He was an unused sub for the Championship games against Leeds United and Charlton Athletic in December 2019 and also spent time later that season on loan with NPL Division One North West side Brighouse Town.
