Their
wait for the return of football had to go on after snow put paid to the Knights’
scheduled fixture with ON Chenecks and then Rothwell Corinthians` notorious
pitch being waterlogged last Saturday.
The
side that eventually turns out for the next fixture looks set to be wildly
different from the one that’s picked up just two points from the opening ten
games, with new manager Lewis Thorogood (pictured) saying that there could be as many as
THIRTEEN debutants in the squad.
He
had only just arrived at the club before the league’s suspension due to the
most recent COVID-19 lockdown.
And
he’s used the down time to bring in the new players for a club that currently
sits second from bottom in the standings.
The
first is former Spalding United midfielder and Lincoln City youngster Archie
Moyses, who joins from league rivals Sleaford Town.
Centre-back
Dan Moulds, who is formerly of Boston Town and Harrowby United, has also joined
alongside ex-Boston Town left-sided defender Josh Burkitt from Newark Flowserve.
Former
Spalding and Lincoln Moorlands Railway midfielder Kelvyn Brookes, who
represents England Fire Services, has also signed for the Knights, with
ex-Boston United youth Joe Melson.
Youngster
Ollie Jepson, formerly with Boston United and Jack Wood from Horncastle Town
also join as midfield options, with James Waby from Cottesmore Amateurs is a
Knight too.
Ex-Tulips
youngsters Nathan Rudman and Haydn Havard and former Lincoln City and Spalding
defender Jack Fixter complete the new line-up. |
