Ward Loaned to Robins

Pitching In Northern Premier League Division One South East club Ilkeston Town have announced that Keaton Ward has joined on loan from SkyBet Championship side Barnsley for the rest of the season.

Upon signing for Barnsley, the club described Ward as a young midfielder who had impressed them at Youth Alliance level for Mansfield Town the season before.

The 20-year-old signed with the Tykes following a successful trial period, signing a contract at Oakwell ahead of their 2019/20 Professional Development League campaign.

Ilkeston manager Martin Carruthers told https://ilkestontownfc.co.uk: “I’m absolutely delighted to welcome Keaton to Ilkeston Town.

“It’s a real coup for the club and an exciting signing for the fans. Huge thanks go to Bobby Hasell and Gary Charles for allowing us to sign Keaton and help further his development.

“Keaton is an excellent addition to an already talented squad and can’t wait to see him in action”.
