Roberts joined Marske in September 2017 from Northern Premier League side Whitby Town.

Roberts signed for Markse for an undisclosed fee after being transfer-listed by the Seasiders the previous month.

Roberts scored 35 goals for Whitby in two seasons, including a decisive brace in the North Riding Senior Cup final against Pickering Town, making 106 appearances in the process.

He first rose to prominence at Northern League Guisborough Town with Premier League Crystal Palace tracking the pacey frontman before he joined Spennymoor Town in August 2014.

Roberts topped the Moors’ scoring charts with 20 goals in the NPL First Division North for the beaten play-off semi-finalists.
