Stafford took over the managerial role in December 2018 when previous boss James Olsen left the club.

Chairman Don Rimmer said: “Phil has been a big part of this club's journey into non-League football and has a close affinity with REMY. His reasons for stepping down are personal and not being able to give the time and energy required to do the role justice.

“We thank Phil for his endeavours and wish him well for the future."

Currently sitting at the foot of the table, the club will make interim arrangements for team management but are taking applications for the post.

Suitable candidates should have professional standards and have a good understanding of non-League football.

Additional requirements are an appropriate coaching qualification, a good player contact network and tactical skill to operate at the level.

This is an opportunity for a dynamic committed individual who can manage people and develop players whilst delivering a winning team mentality.

Applications in the form of a written submission and CV to chairman@remyca.co.uk. Closing date Friday 8th January 2021
