Dickson joined Chelmsford City midway through the 2015/16 season and proved to be a key signing as the Clarets ran all the way to the National League South play-off final, only to be defeated by Ebbsfleet United at the final hurdle.
The former Charlton Athletic front-man also scored the winning goal in the BBC Essex Senior Cup Final, as he established himself as a fan-favourite with the Claret Army.
Dickson’s career included spending a total of five seasons playing in Cyprus, before moving to China.
He also has Football League pedigree, having joined Championship side Charlton back in 2007, where he made 29 appearances.
He also made two appearances for Ghana having made his debut in 2008.
Beavers fans will be familiar with Dickson, who started in National League South play-off semi-final against Hampton for Chelmsford on a day where the Beavers came out on top. |
