The 22-year-old moves back to Cumbria from North West Counties League Premier Division side Padiham, who he joined in September.

He had moved to the Storks from NPL Premier Division outfit Atherton Collieries, who he had joined in August 2019.

He came through League Two Carlisle United's youth ranks and was handed his first professional deal at the end of the 2016/17 season.

He made his debut for the club at the Stadium of Light the 2017/18 season when United faced Sunderland in the Checkatrade Trophy group stages.

In 2017 and 2018 he had loan spells in the NPL with Workington AFC and Clitheroe.

He was handed a second short-term contract by Carlisle ahead of the following campaign, which was further extended in January 2019, and had been a regular in the first team squad and on the bench before agreeing to mutually terminate his contract in February 2019.

The following month he signed for Witton Albion, where he ended the 2018/19 season.

Also signing for the Mintcakes is striker Danny Keenan (pictured).

Keenan joins from West Lancashire League Premier Division side Milnthorpe Corinthians, having previously been with rivals Vickerstown.
