Barnes has decided that the time is right for him to leave his position in order for him to commit to other projects.

Staines appointed Barnes as their new head coach in February 2020 after the departure of Martin Kuhl.

A UEFA A license coach, Barnes had spells at Millwall as an academy coach, Chelsea as a development officer within the Premier League club`s foundation, Welling United and Margate as first team coach, Ashford United as assistant manager and was manager at Greenwich Borough from January 2018, leading the club to the play-offs before leaving in May 2018.

The club will begin the search for a new manager/head coach immediately.
