Rush Becomes a Loan Angel
Vanarama National League South club Tonbridge Angels have signed forward Matt Rush on a month`s loan from SkyBet League Two side Southend United.

Rush started his career with local Essex club Wickford Town, ended the 2018/19 season as Southend`s leading goalscorer in the under-18s, netting 23 times in total to add to 6 goals in the previous campaign.

 

He also marked his under-23 debut, away to Portsmouth, with a superb hat-trick.

 

The frontman signed for the club as an under-14 during the 2014/15 season and is capable of scoring goals from inside and outside the penalty area.

 

The 19-year-old made his first-team debut for Southend at Sunderland in League One in November 2019.
