Vanarama National League club Wealdstone have signed defender Maxim Kouogun.

The 23-year-old centre-back joined Harrogate Town in early February 2020 and helped them achieve promotion to the Football League before being released at the end of May.

 

Before joining Harrogate, he had been plying his trade for Waterford since December 2018 and has spent the majority of his career playing in Ireland, racking up over 120 senior appearances.

 

Having finished the League of Ireland in the final position of sixth place at the Blues, he joined Harrogate having impressed behind closed doors.

 

The Cameroon-born defender had been with Northern Irish Premier League Warrenpoint previously, then spent four seasons at UCD before that which included appearances in the Europa League.
