Pitching In Southern Football League Premier Division South Taunton Town have become another club to send a player out on loan to maintain match fitness during the break in the season.

Defender Jay Foulston has stepped up a division to re-join Vanarama National League South side Chippenham Town on a month`s loan.

 

The 20-year-old central defender signed for Taunton in August 2020 from League Two Newport County.

 

The Swansea-born player has made a total of 6 appearances internationally for Wales across under-17 and under-19 level so far in his career, scoring once.

 

He made two appearances for the Exiles, both in the CheckaTrade Trophy, against Chelsea under-23s and Cheltenham Town.

 

He also spent time on loan at Merthyr Town in 2018/19 and, last season with Chippenham, where he made 25 appearances on a season-long loan ended prematurely due to COVID-19.
