Luke Cairney and Mark Scott have both joined the Kingfishers.

A goalkeeper signed from now Sydenhams Football League (Wessex) Division One side Andover Town, Cairney is currently the Army`s number one and has also featured for Farnborough.

Robinson told http://www.thatchamtownfootball.club: "Luke will provide great competition for the number one jersey."

Cairney said: "I've heard a lot of great things are happening at Thatcham and, when Danny wanted me to come along, I couldn't say no. The aim for me is to do my best for the club and do my bit to help get us promoted."

Also joining from Andover is Matt Scott - a tall, powerful and no-nonsense centre-half.

Scott started his career with Andover in the Southern League before playing in the Wessex Premier with Downton and Winchester City before returning to Andover Town.

Scott said: "The main reason I chose Thatcham is the management staff; I've known Robbo for about six or seven years since his days at Alresford Town. He has always been a successful manager wherever he has been. He has tried to snap me up with previous clubs but for some reason it didn't feel right for me until now! I also worked under Darts when I was at Andover. What a top bloke and coach he is! I've not got a bad word to say about him.

"Another reason is: after the success Thatcham had last season, who wouldn't want to join them!? What they achieved was different class.

"My ambition this season is to kick on from where the team finished last season and hope for more success. It's great to see Thatcham back where they belong".
