Boney (pictured), 22, started his career at Blackpool and made his debut for them as a 17-year-old in a EFL Trophy tie.

He had loan spells at Nantwich Town and Solihull Moors, before joining Shields on loan in the summer of 2019.

He helped them to a 12-point lead at the top of the Northern Premier League last season before it was curtailed, and in the summer of 2020, he made his move permanent.

Lowe, 24, started his career at Burnley as a youngster before joining FC United when they were in the National League North.

He moved to Southport in September 2017, before going on loan to Spennymoor Town for four months in January 2018.

He stayed at Southport until October 2018, when he joined Shields.

He helped them to the top of the Northern Premier League only for them to be denied promotion, and this season played a key role in helping them reach the first round of the Emirates FA Cup.

Up to this season, he had made 67 appearances for them, scoring 15 times.
