Veteran 35-year-old defender Wilson has over 400 Football League appearances for various clubs, most recently at Oldham Athletic.

He had been with the Latics since 2014 when he joined from Colchester United and was their longest-serving player.

The right-back has also played for Bristol City and Cheltenham Town after coming through the Stoke City youth system.

Experienced defensive midfielder Taylor started out with Oldham and has also spent much of his career in the Football League, featuring for Rotherham United, Cheltenham and Northampton Town.

The 31-year-old departed the Cobblers in the summer of 2016 before joining Barrow`s league rivals Eastleigh where he was a regular during the 2016/17 season.

He returned north to sign for another National League outfit, AFC Fylde, in October 2017 on an initial six-month deal which was extended to the end of last season.

Taylor has featured in all Barrow’s pre-season games to date as a trialist, while Wilson played against Carlisle United, Crewe Alexandra and Newcastle United.
