Rouse (pictured) has featured for the club in his playing days as a striker, making a lasting
impression with his goalscoring exploits during his two spells at the club.
However,
he really placed his name in the history books, being a part of Pontefract’s
greatest chapter to date, playing a key part of the rise from the Toolstation Northern
Counties East League Division One to the Northern Premier League.
Colls
have also confirmed the return of another club favourite in Jimmy Williams as Rouse`s
number two.
Williams
spent four campaigns with the club, helping to back-to-back promotions from the
NCEL.
The
defender had many great moments, none more impressive than his play-off semi-final
goal against Ossett United.
As
a local lad, he has also had experience in management with Ferrybridge
Progressive, so he is more than capable of a role in the dug-out, he will also
feature as player.
Gavin
Rothery has taken up the position of first-team coach as well as continuing as
a player.
He
will continue his run of being the current longest-serving member of the first
team set up.
The
attacking midfielder, who is a tutor within the club`s education set-up and
will continue his coaching with the seniors now too.
He
will also continue to be a key figure on the field, despite having injury
troubles this season. |
