Rouse (pictured) has featured for the club in his playing days as a striker, making a lasting impression with his goalscoring exploits during his two spells at the club.

However, he really placed his name in the history books, being a part of Pontefract’s greatest chapter to date, playing a key part of the rise from the Toolstation Northern Counties East League Division One to the Northern Premier League.

Colls have also confirmed the return of another club favourite in Jimmy Williams as Rouse`s number two.

Williams spent four campaigns with the club, helping to back-to-back promotions from the NCEL.

The defender had many great moments, none more impressive than his play-off semi-final goal against Ossett United.

As a local lad, he has also had experience in management with Ferrybridge Progressive, so he is more than capable of a role in the dug-out, he will also feature as player.

Gavin Rothery has taken up the position of first-team coach as well as continuing as a player.

He will continue his run of being the current longest-serving member of the first team set up.

The attacking midfielder, who is a tutor within the club`s education set-up and will continue his coaching with the seniors now too.

He will also continue to be a key figure on the field, despite having injury troubles this season.
