Butlin has impressed during his time at Chasetown, scoring 9 goals in 12 appearances.

He joined the Scholars in July 2020 from Midland League Premier Division side Walsall Wood.

He was previously on the books of Walsall and has previously worked under the Scholars’ management team in the past, during his time at Oak Park.

The striker, who is described as “combative”, has also previously been on the books of Hednesford Town and was also highly sought after this summer.

Hereford manager Josh Gowling told https://www.herefordfc.co.uk: “He’s a big strong player who holds the ball up well, he’s got a bit of grit and nastiness about him, he uses his body well and brings other players into the game. He’s got a good temperament and has trained well.

“We’ve done our research on him, I’ve spoken to the assistant manager at Chasetown who I played with at Bournemouth and Nathan Vaughan knows him as well and I’ve only heard good things about him”.
