Langton is a UEFA A licensed coach who has a wealth of experience within the non-League game having had roles with Horsham, Hastings United, Bromley, Eastbourne Borough and as assistant manager at Vanarama National League South side Welling United.

Langton told https://www.lewesfc.com: “It’s been an unusual time for us all in the last 12 months. I came in to help in the short term and ended up staying on longer, especially to help the club through the pandemic. Whilst we haven’t seen much action on the pitch, I know I leave behind a clearer pathway for young players, which is important to this club. I also know I’ve helped and supported everyone to the best of my ability during these tough times.

"I have always been touched by the kindness of every Lewes fan I have met along the way, and your support and encouragement will never be forgotten, so thank you.”

The Board have placed on record its appreciation for the hard work Langton has put into the role. The pandemic has presented significant challenges to the club that he handled with integrity, diligence, and professionalism.

Chairman Stuart Fuller added: “Hugo answered the call when we needed help in February 2020 and has worked diligently behind the scenes for the club in the last twelve months, not just on First Team Management duties but helping in many other aspects. I’ve known Hugo for well over a decade and know that his skills and expertise in the game will be put to good use in the future”.
