Keller joined the Alfredians` management team in May 2020 as head coach.

The 34-year-old started his playing days with Wantage and spent three years with the club.

He also had spells with Banbury United, Didcot Town, Shrivenham, Carterton, Pontadawe and Southam United.

Keller told the club`s website: "I`m buzzing to become the new assistant manager at Wantage Town. I had a great first season as head coach, albeit cut short due to Covid 19. I`m really happy to have the opportunity to step up as assistant working with Matt Biddle, help push this good squad that we have put together and no reason why we can`t challenge for top half of the table.

“From the vibe we are getting from the lads, they are all buzzing to get back at it as well and have the good craic on the training ground, socials and match days.

“There is lots going on at the club with improvements in place that will the ground look really good. Really looking forward to seeing the fans back at the ground and showing their support for the team next season."

Manager Matt Biddle added: "This time last year JK was just starting his journey within his Wantage management career. I think it`s been clear to see from all areas at the club and the squad that he has already shown he was the obvious and natural choice to step into this role.

“I have been extremely impressed with JK's contribution to all things at the club this season and has surpassed my expectations on the impact he has already made in just a space of a year. He fits in perfectly to what we are trying to build at the club. He shares the same passion, ideas and commitment that will drive us to further future success. I`m really excited to now be working with him as my right-hand man on all things at the club as we continue to move the club in the right direction".
