Benham joins from new league rivals Paulton Rovers.

He can play as centre-forward or out on the wing and has also featured for another new league opponent this season, Winchester City, as well as Gosport Borough.

Benham told http://www.thatchamtownfootball.club: "I'm very pleased to have signed for Thatcham Town. I am hoping for an injury free season and to help the clubs and my ambitions for the year. I've spoken to manager Danny Robinson over the last few seasons but with things not quite working out due to various reasons. With the club now in the Southern League I'm looking forward to getting the season started and pushing on".
