The 28-year-old midfielder knows Spireites` manager James Rowe from their time together at Aldershot Town and he cites the manager’s presence as playing a major part in his decision to sign.

He said: “I enjoyed two good years with him. I know all that he’s about and the type of football he wants to play. When I heard that he was interested, it was a big, big factor.

“The club’s flying and it’s built for success. The club is really ambitious, and I want to be part of that.”

Oyeleke was with Chelsea and Queen Park Rangers as a youngster but made his breakthrough at Brentford and had spells at Exeter City and Aldershot before signing for Port Vale in the summer of 2018.
