Benn Makes Killock His First New Recruit

Wayne Benn, manager of Pitching In Northern Premier League Division One North West club Ossett United manager Wayne Benn has confirmed his first signing ahead of 2021/22 season.

Ross Killock becomes the club's first signing ahead of the next campaign.

The 26-year-old central defender joined league rivals outfit Ramsbottom United in February 2020 and also dual-registered with North West Counties side Golcar United the following month.

He started out coming through the ranks at Leeds United as a youth trainee. During his time at Leeds he played for Alfreton Town in 2012, making 15 appearances and Chester in 2013 - 19 appearances. There was one loan appearance for Halifax in January 2015, before he joined Stockport County in 2016. At the start of the 2016/17 season, he left Leeds to join Chester, but an injury early on meant he made just 2 appearances.

He re-joined Stalybridge Celtic for his second spell in May 2019 after leaving at the end of the 2017/18 season to spend the season with Northern Premier rivals Scarborough Athletic. He originally joined from Chester in September 2017.
