Maltby Main have announced that manager Louis Axcell has committed himself to a third year in charge at the Toolstation Northern Counties East League Premier Division club.

Axcell first took the reins in October 2019 on an interim basis following the departure of Scott Mason before taking over the role permanently in the following March.

However, due to the stop-start nature of the last two campaigns, he has only presided over 27 league games, with the club in fifth spot in the table at the end of the curtailed 2020/21 season.

A statement on the club's website said: "Louis said he was delighted to be part of the club still and has his sights set on a post/pre-season re-engagement with the players of last season and possibly some new faces".
