The 28-year-old started his career with Middlesbrough and then had spells with Darlington, Huddersfield Town, Swedish sides Ytterhogdal and Landskrona before joining Whitby Town for the first time in October 2015.

He left the Turnbull Ground to join Vanarama National League North side Blyth Spartans after finding the net 32 times during a hugely impressive 2016/17 season.

He returned to Whitby in June 2018 for an undisclosed fee.

Manager Carl Jarrett told the club`s website: "I am delighted to get Dale onboard this season. I have tried to sign him a few times, but it never happened. He is ideal for us especially with his experience at this level and above which is vital. He will bring different qualities to the squad which will help us and he's also a great lad and fits in well".
