He
re-unites with former team-mate Danny Kedwell, who has taken the managerial
reins at the Wands following Tony Russell`s departure to league rivals Lewes.
Drury
is a vastly experienced 37-year-old midfielder who re-joined Isthmian South
East side Sittingbourne in September 2020.
He
signed for Vanarama National League South club Havant & Waterlooville in
July 2019 having been released by National League side Ebbsfleet United.
He
re-joined the Fleet in December 2018 having who won the Conference South with
Lewes and the Conference Premier and FA Trophy with Stevenage, having previously
spent three years with Fleet from 2003 to 2006, playing 118 games and scoring
19 goals.
He
started out with Sittingbourne before coming to then-Fleet manager Andy Ford’s
attention in 2003 but his star really began to soar while playing for Stevenage
Borough, becoming a key part of the side that won promotion to the Football
League.
In
2010, a move to Luton Town before he signed for Ipswich Town for £150,000 in
2011.
He
made his Ipswich debut in the Championship against Hull City and in all played
64 times for the Tractor Boys at that level.
He
then played for Crawley Town before returning to Luton for £100,000 in 2014.
He
moved to Eastleigh in the summer of 2015 and played 20 games for the Spitfires
and scored 5 goals in 2018/19 before returning to Stonebridge Road.
