Returning to the club is defender Matt Jones and striker Warren Bentley (pictured), who both add to our quality and competition for places.

Jones, 25, joined Pitching In Southern League Premier Division South side Weston-super-Mare in May 2020 from the Crusaders having joined in 2018/19 from Farnborough.

He started his career with Swindon Town and had loan spells with neighbours Swindon Supermarine, Wantage Town, Chippenham Town and Farnborough before re-joining Chippenham, this time on a more permanent basis, in 2015.

Despite being a regular, making 82 appearances in two seasons, he moved onto Royal Wootton Bassett Town and Cirencester Town before signing for Farnborough in December 2017.

Bentley, 31, is an experienced and prolific marksman who made the relatively short move from Weymouth to former Southern Premier South rivals Salisbury in June 2019.

He was a 2018 close season signing for Weymouth from local rivals Poole Town, where he had scored 17 goals the previous season.

Apart from Hungerford, his other former clubs include Gosport Borough, Arlesford Town, Southampton, and Winchester City, where he scored over 100 goals in less than two seasons.

New signings Theo Lewis and Ty Ward are attacking midfielders with experience at National League South level.

Lewis, 29, was born in Oxford and started his career with Chelsea and Reading before joining Cheltenham Town in 2007.

He moved on to play for Salisbury between 2012 and 2014, before joining Woking and then Ebbsfleet United.

In 2015 he agreed to join the Crusaders` rivals Havant & Waterlooville, initially on loan, and became an integral part of the Hawks squad.

He moved to Southern Premier Division South neighbours Gosport Borough in August 2019.

Ward joined Southern Division One Central outfit Barton Rovers in the summer of 2020 from Southern Premier Central side St Ives Town.

He had signed for the Saints in November 2018 from Hungerford`s league rivals Hemel Hempstead Town.

He spent the previous season as a regular with Dunstable Town at Step 3 but following the Blues relegation the Milton Keynes-based youngster joined AFC Rushden & Diamonds at the start of the 2018/19 campaign.

His other former clubs also include Colney Heath and Chesham United and he was an academy player with MK Dons.

Meanwhile, goalkeepers Luke Cairney and Matt Crowther, defenders James Rusby, Keith Emmerson, Matt Partridge, Curtis Angell, Louis McGrory, Rhys Tyler and Matt Berry-Hargreaves, midfielders Jake Evans, Mike Jones, Harrison Bayley, Callum Willmoth and George Smith and forwards Ryan Seager and Solomon Wanjau Smith have all re-signed for 2021/22.

Leaving Bulpit Lane are Luke Hopper, James Harding, Jordan Edwards and Conor Lynch.
