The 34-year-old UEFA B qualified coach has been assistant manager and head coach at Southern League Premier Division South side Farnborough since leaving his job managing Isthmian League rivals Ashford Town (Middx) in 2019.

He had been with the Tangerines for six years and took his side up from the Combined Counties League and went on to establish the club in the top half of the South Central Division as well as achieving some County Cup success.

He also runs the Farnborough academy.

Murray will replace Rob Ursell as the Woods manager after the fledgling boss resigned his post a couple of weeks ago to take up a coaching role with now established Isthmian Premier side Potters Bar Town.
