The 34-year-old
spent last season with National League side AFC Fylde and was on the scoresheet in their play-off quarter-final
defeat to Boreham Wood in May.
He had arrived at
the Coasters in the summer of 2017 from Salford City – the move to the Swansway
Chester Stadium sees him link up with joint-managers Anthony Johnson and
Bernard Morley once more.
Grand has also had
spells at Barrow AFC, AFC Telford United and Southport in recent years, and has
an excellent goalscoring record for a defensive player.
The centre-back has
a wealth of experience, also playing for the likes of Rochdale, Carlisle United,
Grimsby Town, Northwich Victoria and Fleetwood Town.
