As reported on this site yesterday (http://news.forwardsport.co.uk/news/details.php?news_id=947), Davies has made some eye-catching recruits and has now added another in defender Matt Day.

Day is an imposing centre-half who is dominant vocally and aerially. He spent seven years at Hungerford Town under Bobby Wilkinson, and became Wilkinson's first signing as Wealdstone manager when he moved to Grosvenor Vale in the summer of 2017.

Prior to joining Hungerford, Day had a successful three-year spell at Oxford United in the Conference and also spent a short period at Eastleigh.

He began his career at Portsmouth and also had a brief spell at Oxford City.

Towards the end of last season, Day spent time on loan with Bracknell`s neighbours Slough Town and helped them achieve promotion to the National League South.

At Bracknell, Day re-unites with former Hungerford team-mate Scott Rees, who is also a coup summer signing for the Robins.
