Moors Make First New Signings

Vanarama National League North club Spennymoor Town have made their first new signings ahead of 2021/22 with defender John Lufudu and midfielder Brad Abbott moving to the Brewery Field.

Lufudu signed dual registration forms with Moors` league rivals Guiseley AFC in November 2020 having been with Pitching In Northern Premier League Premier Division side Ashton United since October 2019 after impressing against the Robins in the Emirates FA Cup for NPL Division One North West side Tadcaster Albion.

A versatile player who can play on the wing or at the back, he has also been with Sheffield FC, Frickley Athletic and Parkgate.

Abbott (pictured), 26, is a central midfielder who joined Northern Premier outfit Grantham Town in August 2020 from National League North side Boston United.

He had moved to the Pilgrims from Buxton for an undisclosed fee in December 2017.

He is a former Barnsley trainee.
