Smith brings additional experience into the fold. He joined Sphinx in September 2020 from former Midland League Premier Division rivals Romulus.

The previous two seasons he was at Racing Club Warwick where he accumulated 49 appearances, scoring 9 goals.

Before that he was with Coventry Alliance outfit, Coventrians, where he came through their under-21s before moving on to their first team.

Manager Terry Anderson told his club`s website: "I’m delighted to get Joe signed for next season. He’s someone I’ve had my eye on for the last 18 months so it’s great to finally secure his services.

"He will be a real asset for us. He’s strong, great on the ball, very aggressive and a natural leader on the pitch, just what we need at this time. I’m sure he will be a huge success for us".
