The 23-year-old began his career as a youngster with AFC Bournemouth, enjoying spells on-loan with Dorchester Town, AFC Totton and Poole Town.

Having impressed during two spells with Poole, the former Cherries trainee signed permanently at Tatnam before moving to Concord Rangers in August 2014.

Chiedozie’s prolific goalscoring record at the Aspect Arena - 7 goals in 14 matches - saw the winger sign an eighteen-month deal with SkyBet League Two outfit Cambridge United in November 2014.

With first-team chances limited at the Abbey Stadium, Chiedozie went on-loan to Dartford and Braintree Town before signing for Boreham Wood following his release from the U`s.

The 5`11” Chiedozie re-signed for the Beachboys in September 2016 where he scored 12 goals in 25 appearances before moving to Margate for the 2017/18 season.

Last season Chiedozie scored 29 goals in 39 appearances for The Gate, and City boss Rod Stringer hopes that the forward will add a different element to the Clarets’ front-line.

He told http://www.chelmsfordcityfc.com: “Jordan Chiedozie scored a good goal against Harlow Town yesterday. He’ll be a good acquisition as he gives us something different to what we already have.

“We have Rhys Murphy and Scott Fenwick who both scored on Saturday, Alex Akrofi is out injured at the minute.

“We are getting there. We are looking strong. We have had to use so many trialists this year simply because of the injury crisis we have got.

“Fortunately, they are not bad injuries but even a niggle this time of the season, you have to give it the respect it needs and perhaps they are three or four-week injuries”.
