Stacey (pictured), 24, is a wing-back or wide midfielder who began his career with Rotherham and had experience with Sheffield FC at under-21 and first team level.

He then embarked on a four-year spell in the USA in Virginia, where he studied and played football under a scholarship programme at Bluefield College.

Before returning to England, he spent almost three months playing for USL2 side Dalton Red Wolves in Tennessee.

Upon his return to England, he signed for Toolstation Northern Counties East Leaguers AFC Mansfield in October 2019 and then joined Vanarama National League North outfit Alfreton Town in October 2020.

Stacey follows Frickley`s other recent recruits in midfielders Ethan Kenny, who was released by the Millers at the end of last season, and Reiss Harrison, who arrives from National League North side York City, having previously been with Rotherham and Sheffield United as a youngster.
