Hurley
arrived at the club ahead of the 2020/21 campaign from Brackley Town Saints but
endured a tough time during his spell winning just one league game in nine
during the Covid-hit campaign.
Speaking
to www.shrivenhamfc.co.uk, chairman Matt Hirst said he was disappointed to part
ways with the manager but added that the organisation needed to change things
in order to help the club move forward in a positive way.
“I
have the utmost respect for Chris, and he is a massively likeable person,” he
said on making the announcement. “He completely bought in to what we are trying
to achieve here, but it unfortunately hasn’t worked out and I feel that we
needed a fresh start in order to help us get back on track.
“On
behalf of everybody at Shrivenham Football Club, I wish Chris the very best for
the future and he will always be welcome at Barrington Park”. |
