The
20-year-old attacking player joins the Cod Army on a two-year contract for an
undisclosed fee.
The
forward was an academy graduate at Hyde and has been watched by a number of
Football League and Vanarama National League clubs.
He
made 5 appearances on loan with National League North side Farsley Celtic in
November 2020, registering 4 assists as he played an integral role in Farsley`s
six-game unbeaten run, going unbeaten in the four starts he made for the Celts.
He
returned to Farsley for a second loan spell just before Christmas 2020.
He
played 67 games for Hyde, scoring 13 goals.
Hyde
manager Dave McGurk told his club`s website: “Last season, Paddy had four clubs
come in for him and it never quite worked out for him, and out of all the clubs
that came in for him, this was the best one, as I think he has a real chance to
develop there. We’re sad to lose him but delighted at the same time.
“It’s
a massive thing for the football club, as we want to promote youth through the
academy. They did brilliant work with Paddy before handing him over to us, and
we’ve improved his game again and he’s got his move.
“We’ve
only played a small part, though, as it’s Paddy that has had that hunger with
the way he has looked after himself away from training, getting nutritionists
involved, and that’s what he needed to do to get to that next step”. |
