Former
Wales under-17, 19 and under-21 international midfielder or defender Joe
Partington joins from league rivals Eastleigh, who he had re-signed for from Bristol
Rovers in June 2019.
Originally
with AFC Bournemouth, the 31-year-old made over 50 appearances for the
Cherries, scoring against Swansea in 2008 to become Bournemouth's youngest ever
goalscorer.
He
spent time on loan at Eastbourne Borough and Aldershot Town but suffered a
serious knee injury that kept him out for 10 months during his time on loan at
Aldershot.
After
recovering from the set-back, he joined Eastleigh in June 2015, following the
expiry of his deal at Bournemouth, and at the end of the 2015/16 season,
completed a clean sweep at the club`s awards evening, winning all four prizes
and was made captain for the 2016/17 season and was signed by Rovers for an
undisclosed fee in January 2017.
He
returned to Eastleigh having made 46 appearances for Rovers in total.
Forward
Corey Whitely has re-joined the Ravens having previously joined the club on
loan from Newport County at the start of 2020, making 8 appearances and scoring
once.
Whitely
began his career with Boreham Wood, before a string of prolific spells in non-League
football with Waltham Forest, Cheshunt and most notably Enfield Town.
His
46-goal tally in 120 appearances for Enfield earned the interest of Dagenham
& Redbridge, signing for the Essex side in 2016. #
A
spell with Ebbsfleet United came next, leading to a permanent move to Newport
County.
He
made 10 appearances for the Welsh Exiles in 2019 but spent the 2020/21 season
with boyhood club Boreham Wood, joining them on loan for the season in August
2020. |
