AFC Telford United have re-signed defender Arlen Birch from Vanarama National League North rivals Chorley.

The 24-year-old started his career at Everton`s academy aged just 11. He then became a first-year scholar in the summer of 2013 and often featured in the under-18`s title-winning campaign.

International honours arrived at youth level, representing England under-16 and under-18 level.

In September 2015 he joined Burnley as part of their development team, but despite training with the first team and making various squads, things didn’t work out.

He signed for AFC Fylde in August 2018 and the moved to Telford in October 2019 before switching to Chorley in July 2020.
