Since joining the Nash on a free transfer in the summer of 2014, the keeper went on to amass almost 200 appearances for Curzon.

As a youth the now 25-year-old played for Oldham Athletic, before joining Chesterfield in July 2013. Whilst he was at the Spireites, he spent a short-term loan with Stockport County before joining the Nash the following summer.

His reputation at this level is high, shown by his inclusion in the England C squad in March 2020 – however a chance of a debut for his country was scuppered by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Southport boss Liam Watson told https://southportfc.net: “I couldn’t believe it when I heard Cam had been released and he immediately became our number-one target.

“He’s at a great age and a proven keeper at this level.

“Cam will be a big signing for this football club”.
