Joining
earlier new recruits Andy Fennell from Chelmsford City and Kyle Hammond from
Leiston at Bloomfields are Tom Maycock from AFC Sudbury and Tariq Issa from
Colchester United.
Maycock
is a former academy player with Isthmian League North side AFC Sudbury.
A
left-sided pacey, wide player with great awareness of play around him, he
returned to Sudbury in 2017 after spells with Ipswich Athletic and Whitton
United.
Issa (pictured) joined Colchester's academy at the age of 12 from Trinity Football Club based
in Southend-on-Sea.
He
broke into the U`s under-18 side while still an under-16 player and was the
first academy player to come through the educational system associated with
Thurstable School in Tiptree and signed a four-year contract in July 2016.
He
made his first-team debut in the EFL Trophy in October 2016 in Colchester's 2-1
defeat to Southampton under-23s, and he made his Football League debut in
August 2017 against Luton Town.
In
August 2018 he joined the Marketmen on a six-month loan and made 21
appearances, scoring 3 goals and he also had a loan spell with Isthmian League
North Division side Maldon & Tiptree in 2019, playing 4 times.
He
was released by Colchester in July 2020.
