The 29-year-old centre-back signs for the Spitfires on a permanent basis following the end of his contract with the SkyBet League Two side Swindon Town.
Born
in Basingstoke, Broadbent began his career in the youth academies of
Southampton, Portsmouth and AFC Bournemouth before playing first team football
with Bognor Regis Town.
At
the age of 19, Broadbent joined the Army and gave six years of service, in
which time he represented the forces, before starting life as a non-League
footballer for Farnborough in 2015.
After
stints with Petersfield Town, Hayes & Yeading United, and Bristol Rovers, he
joined Swindon in January 2019.
The
6`3” centre-back made 18 appearances and scored one goal in League One last
season.
Manager
Ben Strevens told https://www.eastleighfc.com:
“We have had to be patient to get this deal done. Tom will give us good
strength and balance playing on the left. We are delighted to have him on board”. |
