Basildon Town breezed into the next round of the Prokit UK Essex Olympian League Senior League Cup after crushing Newbury Forest Res. 10-1.

The result was in no doubt after the hosts went in at the break five goals to the good, which included an Alfie Phillips hat-trick.

 

Sener Suavi, Jamie Miller and Alex Witham scored braces with Jimmy Markham rounding up the Basildon scoring.

 

Buckhurst Hill also had an easy passage into the third round as Nathan Sollosi, Sam Sollosi, Sonny Shilling, Frank Glock and Steve Townsend all hit the target in their 5-0 win over Runwell Sports.

 

Harold Wood Athletic also hit five as Joe Stevens, Robert Whitnell, John Bradley, Reiss Kingsley and Chris Muir all hit the back of Hutton’s net, who managed one goal back in reply, which was scored by Brad Freeman.

 

Matthew Crick bagged Great Baddow’s goal in extra-time which helped them eliminate Snaresbrook 1-0; Bishop’s Stortford Swifts also needed extra-time before they could finally put Corinthians down. Gavin Cockman bagged a brace for Swifts with the other goal scored  by Jack Sawyer, while Corinthians scored their goals via Drew Rawlingson and Theo Cannon.

 

Paul Morris scored Rayleigh Town’s goal in a 3-1 reverse at Catholic United. Springfield registered a 2-0 win at Canning Town with Graham Hall and David Morgan supplying the goals. Jack Deasy (2), Jacob Cleaver and Justin Hazell were the Leigh Ramblers marksmen in a 4-1 win at Toby.

 

The hosts scored their consolation via Paul Carr, while Roydon needed Epping Town to provide them with an own goal on route to then losing 3-1; Daniel Garfinkle (2) and Alex Paraskeva were the Epping sharpshooters.

 

Nico Debouchet’s hat-trick alongside a Matt Tonking goal helped Old Southendian beat Academy Soccer 4-2.

 

The visitors scored both their goals via Luis Ruiz.

 

Premier Division

 

Kelvedon Hatch are up to second in the table after a 5-1 win over lowly Manford Way.

 

Michael Daniels notched a hat-trick, with Theo Ola and Antony Aylett providing the other goals.

 

Buckhurst Hill remain leaders but only goal difference separates them from Kelvedon Hatch.

 

Division One

 

Ramsden Scotia are up to second after a 5-2 win over Frenford; Steve Paoletti’s hat-trick was added to by strikes from Max Corrigan and Ryan Leddra and the result also keeps Frenford at the foot of the table.

 

May & Baker Res. remain in the drop zone after a 7-2 defeat at home to Ongar Town.

 

The visitors saw James Stevens and Niki Love both net hat-tricks with Ben Polley also chipping in.

 

Alex Owuaday (2) and Perry Tamburrini scored the May & Baker replies. There was also a hat-trick claimed by Martin Mixture as his Old Chelmsfordians side beat Herongate Athletic 5-0. Elijah Akinolu plus an own goal rounded-up the OC scoring.

 

Harry Hatt scored both of Shenfield AFC’s goals in a 2-1 away win at Galleywood; while FC Hamlets won by the same score line at Rayleigh Town Res, with Darren Serrano and Ishmael Saidy scoring their goals, while Charlie Legg notched the Rayleigh reply.

 

Division Two

 

Shoebury Town remain top of the table after a 6-2 home win over Lakeside. Dom Binns lead the charge with four goals, with Aaron Cooper and Kirk Hudson also notching.

 

Harold Wood Athletic Res. are second after a Paul Virdi strike from 25 yards, plus a headed winner from Tom Lamb saw them overcome Newham United 2-1.

 

Lamar Obinkwo scored the Newham goal. Beacon Hill Rovers move up to seventh after a slender 1-0 win over lowly Ryan.

 

Dwayne Francis-Riley, Matthew Hall and David Watson scored the Rochford Town goals in a 3-3 draw with Upminster; Warren Taylor, Matthew Taylor and Daniel Peermamode scoring the visitors’ goals.

 

Division Three

 

Old Southendian Res. failed to catch up on Westhamians on Saturday. With a five point gap to fill, the Southend-based club travelled to Old Chelmsfordians Res. and were struck down by Josh Chapman and Cosmin Rashim, who was making his debut.

 

Tom Judge scored the Old Southendian. Danny Pallett scored twice for Wakering Sports, who went on to add a further goal via John Sharpe on route to beating Basildon Town Res. 3-1.

 

Chris Skingley scored twice for Hutton Res. but was still on the losing side as Izaih Antoine, Jasper Read, plus a brace from Harry Somerset-Butler helped White Ensign Res. run out 4-3 winners.

 

Alfie Kempton also got his name down on the Hutton scoresheet. Laindon Orient picked up a 2-0 away win at Leigh Town with Glen Jordan scoring both the goals.
