The Cuckoos have been switched to the Northern Premier League Division One Midlands and the 20-year-old has decided to remain in the Southern League with the Saints.

Johnson was released by League Two club Cambridge United in the summer of 2019 after spending several years coming through their youth system.

He also spent the last couple of months of the 2018/19 season on `work experience` with Yaxley, where he helped them to pull away from the bottom of the table and finish the season strongly before re-joining them Yaxley in early January 2020 after a spell with St Ives Town.
