He
has made nine new signings to date, joining several of last season`s squad
re-signing for the Waders.
Central
midfielder Blake D`Arcy joins Biggleswade from Isthmian League South Central
Division side Chalfont St Peter.
The
19-year-old signed for the Saints last summer having previously been on the
books at League One newcomers Cambridge United.
Winger
David Manu, 25, moves to Langford Road from Division One Central outfit
Aylesbury United.
He
joined the Ducks from Premier Division South side Beaconsfield Town in
September 2019, having only joined the Rams in the summer of 2019 from Isthmian
Premier side Wingate & Finchley.
He
moved to Wingate in June 2018 from Bedford Town and lists Interwood FC,
Hertford Town, North Greenford United, AFC Hayes, Kings Langley, Romford,
Welwyn Garden City and Uxbridge are among his other former clubs.
Nigerian
striker Emmanuel Osilaja, who turns 21 next week, has trialled at Stoke City, Birmingham
City, Reading, Brentford, Nottingham Forest, Chelsea and Norwich city
He
attended the University of Birmingham studying sport and fitness and was
previously attending the Pro Touch Academy and was also on Redditch United`s
under-21 books.
His
last club was Midland League Division Three side AFC Church.
Goalkeeper
Jake Alley signs having been with Essex Senior League side Walthamstow since
Christmas 2020.
The
19-year-old started out at League One Ipswich Town, where he became a regular
in the under-18s.
He
also had a loan spell in the Isthmian League North Division with Felixstowe
& Walton United in 2019/20.
Forward
Joe Neal (pictured), 20, started his career with League One side Cambridge United, progressing
through the academy age groups across the course of the last decade.
Raised
in Newmarket, he was spotted as a 6-year-old by the U`s and played up an age
group featuring for the youth team as an under-16 during their run to the FA
Youth Cup fourth round in 2017.
He
was handed a professional contract after impressing on loan at the Waders`
league rivals Royston Town in 2019.
He
began the 2019/20 season on loan at another Southern Premier Central outfit, Needham
Market, and went on to score 5 goals in 29 appearances for the Marketmen.
He
played 4 games on loan at St Neots Town in January 2020 and was then
loaned
out to Biggleswade and scored a hat-trick in a 7–4 win over Leiston in
September 2020.
He
was recalled to Cambridge after the 2020/21 season was cancelled at Southern
League level due to the COVID-19 pandemic having scored 5 goals in 10 games for
the Waders.
He
made his first-team debut for Cambridge in November 2020 in a 1–1 draw with
Peterborough United in an EFL Trophy but was released in May 2021.
Luca
Purse, a 19-year-old defender and son of former Birmingham City and Cardiff
City centre-half Darren Purse, came through the youth system at Biggleswade`s
league rivals AFC Rushden & Diamonds and also gained experience in the
United Counties League with Sileby Rangers.
Another
former Diamonds player joining the Waders is Magloire Muyembe.
The
20-year-old midfielder was with Spartan South Midlands League Division One side
Ampthill Town last season.
He
was also previously with Cockfosters and Hemel Hempstead Town.
Roke
Nchaso, 21, is a former West Ham United youngster. The defender has also been
on the books at Isthmian League Premier Division side Bowers & Pitsea.
An
Equatorial Guinea international, he was with the Hammers` from May 2016 until
July 2018.
The
final member of the new arrivals for Nunn for now is midfielder Wilson Chingoka.
The
22-year-old former Wingate & Finchley youngster joined Isthmian South Central side Northwood in July 2017, having played
the previous season for the successful Herts County side AFC Oaklands.
He
took on the Woods captaincy in the second half of 2017/18, when he won the supporters'
player of the year award.
He
made a handful of appearances the following season before moving on to Lewes,
Staines Town, Bedford Town, Hertford Town, Rayners Lane and Spartan South
Midlands League Premier Division side Tring Athletic, from where he joins the
Waders.
Re-signing
for the Waders are James Peters, Kane Farrell, Matt Hall, Russell Short, Shane
Bush and Sam Squire.
Midfielder
Peters, 29, initially signed for the club this time last year.
He
first signed for Southern Division One Central side Bedford Town in the summer
of 2015 and played 137 times, scoring 10 goals, captaining the side before
moving to St Neots Town in the summer of 2018.
He
re-joined the Eagles in October 2018 and went on to help them to reach the
play-offs before switching to Cambridge City in May 2019.
His
other former clubs include Colney Heath, St Ives Town, Biggleswade United,
Barton Rovers, Langford, Stotfold and Cambridge United.
Farrell,
25, is a left-back who originally signed for Biggleswade in the summer of 2020.
He
was previously with Kings Langley and Wingate & Finchley.
Hall,
24, is a defender who has been with the Waders since early October 2020 after
joining from Southern Premier South side Beaconsfield Town.
He
had only joined the Rams in September 2020 having been with league rivals Hayes
& Yeading United for a second time in June 2019.
The
former Watford and Ross County central defender initially joined Hayes &
Yeading at the end of August 2017 on dual registration with Vanarama National
League South side Hemel Hempstead Town.
He
never really nailed down a regular starting place in the side and moved to
Northwood after a few months with United and has also had spells with Northwood
and Barton Rovers.
Short
is an experienced 32-year-old defender who re-joined Biggleswade in August 2020
as player-coach.
He
returned for a third spell for the Waders having also been with Ipswich Town,
Wivenhoe Town, Histon and Bury Town, where he spent five seasons, making almost
200 appearances.
He
joined Biggleswade for the first time in 2013/14 before re-joining Bury.
A
season with Hendon followed before he returned to Langford Road in 2016.
He
left for St Neots Town and then Needham Market, for whom he played 28 times in
2019/10.
Striker
Bush, 30, originally joined Biggleswade in August 2019 from Kempston Rovers,
where he had returned for a third spell for the start of the 2018/19 season,
having previously played for the club in the United Counties League.
He
returned from Chesham United and previously turned out for Pitstone &
Ivinghoe, Leighton Town and Dunstable Town.
Squire,
21, is a midfielder who first out pen-to-paper for the Waders last summer.
He
had joined league rivals Needham Market on a permanent basis in June 2019 after
being released by Cambridge United.
He
spent 2018/19 on a season-long loan with the Marketmen from the League Two
outfit and made 38 appearances.
He
contributed towards Cambridge City’s strong run at the end of the 2017/18
season, in which they lost in the Southern League Division One East play-off
final whilst on loan.
