Balogun Makes Citizens Move
Welwyn Garden City have announced the signing of Jordan Balogun from Pitching In Southern League Division One Central rivals Berkhamsted.

The 23-year-old, who can play at full-back or in midfielder, joined Berko in early October 2020 from Vanarama National League South side Braintree Town.

 

He had only joined the Iron in the summer of 2020 following his release by League One side Oxford United.

 

Whilst on the U`s books, he had loan spells with Harpenden Town, Thame United and Marlow.

 

Meanwhile, striker Steve Dodd, who joined the Citizens last season, also from

Berko, has re-signed.

 

The 23-year-old has yet to make an appearance for Nick Ironton`s side due to the curtailed season and injuries.

 

The tall forward scored a hat-trick on his debut for Berkhamsted in August 2019 having arrived from Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division side Leverstock Green having previously been a prolific marksman with Herts Senior County Leaguers Bovingdon.
