The
Board of Directors were saddened by the news but have thanked him for his hard
work during the past three seasons and have wished him well in his future
endeavours.
Blackman,
37, had a much-travelled career as a player.
After
playing a handful of League games for Brentford he had spells with the likes of
Farnborough, Woking, Bishop`s Stortford, Bromley, Crawley Town, Llanelli,
Maidstone United, Margate and Chatham Town as well as the Oystermen.
He
managed Ramsgate from 2017 to 2018 and took charge of Whitstable for the last
time on Tuesday, 14th September when they were held to a 1-1 home draw by VCD
Athletic.
Player-coach
Ben Harding has agreed to take charge of the team for the forthcoming games.
